Tarka

Newly built steam boat Tarka is one of those boats you just have to see to believe. Designed and built by the owner over 12 years she's an absolute gem. Every piece has been produced to the highest standard.

The only problem was the build site - a private workshop with no road access. When we were asked to help transport her to Windermere Marina Village for launching it was immediately clear that it was no ordinary job... We couldn't wait.

Tarka makes her first move - upwards! Built in a private house Tarka needed to be lifted over a workshop and wall to our waiting trailer.

We had to organise temporary traffic management to make space for the crane and trailer.

Careful positioning of the boat on the trailer ensures a smooth journey.

Safetly delivered to Windermere Marina Village, Tarka gets her first look at the lake she will grace for years to come.
